The Ourika Valley is a popular escape from the summer heat of Marrakech. The village of Setti Fatma is a weekend resort for many people who live in Marrakech where they come to picnic beside the streams and waterfalls.

Depart from your hotel at 8:30 am to the Ourika Valley across the plain of Haouz. Explore the Berber villages along the valley as you drive 30 km to Ourika valley which is a typical region of the High Atlas. Particularly green throughout the year, traversed by the Oued (River). This tour is not to be missed. If one only has a short time, allow yourself this experience to discover the Atlas and its valley, inhabited by Berber tribes. The extreme point, Setti Fatma is a 65Km South of Marrakesh. The valley is punctuated by a string of douars (villages) attached to the hillside. Water is everywhere and winds through the meadows, irrigating fields and orchards. Many of Marrakchis have second homes in Ourika Valley, or they simply take hostels or hotels when the temperature in their city becomes very high. Setti Fatma, 1500m above sea level, is a pleasant village where it is possible to take many walks. The typical mountain trek which leads to a cascade of 7 waterfalls is an absolute must do. After walking back from the waterfalls, free time for lunch in one of the restaurant close to the river. Return back to Marrakech around 5 p.m
