Climbing Jebel Toubkal is a great feeling as well as a challenge, start trekking through the Berber villages up to the Base Camp at 3207 m. The trek is an opportunity to meet the people of High Atlas Mountains. It is an adeventure and an opportunity to discover the local culture of Amazigh people living in the high Atlas mountains.

Itenerary

Day 1: Arrive Marrakech

We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Your Guide will brief you on timings for the following day. Once you have settled in, you will want to experience the famous Djemaa Elfna square. Your first experience of the square is one of the senses explosion; entertainers performing, a myriad of food stalls all lit up with the smells to accompany them, and general melee of activity.

Day 2:Marrakech- Imlil- Refuge Toubkal 3207 m

After breakfast we depart and drive into the High Atlas mountains to the village of I mlil. This is just 1 hour 30 minutes journey. Meet your trek crew,complete with mules, you will be on your way. It will take between 5 and 6 hours to get to the Refuge; a steady climb through the day.

Day 3:  Toubkal Summit 4167 m RETURN TO THE REFUGE

Today you get prepared for a pre-dawn start for the ascent of the highest peak in North Africa.

The terrain varies and can be steep as you climb up towards the summit. There are some great views from the infamous triangle that marks the summit, with clear sky in the horizon to south is the hidden Sahara desert. Descend back to Refuge, overnight here.

Day 4: Refuge – Imlil – Marrakech

In the morning, after breakfast it is a 4 hour descent to the point where the trek begun , meet the transport and head back to Marrakech . Once back in the medina you are free to roam and enjoy all that Marrakech has to offer.

Day 5: Departure

Today our services end by organizing your transfers to airport for your flights at the appropriate time.
